Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from an accredited university. Significant related work experience will be considered in place of a degree.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial level control systems.
  • Strong theoretical and practical experience in systematic software engineering and software architecture.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources, apply critical and creative thinking to draw conclusions or develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience and knowledge of Agile development methods.
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to work across multiple teams and projects concurrently, in a technical business environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including ability to conceptualize complex ideas quickly and convey those thoughts to others in a clear, effective, and motivating manner.
  • Periodic time zone flexibility to support customers and colleagues across the world
  • Ability to travel internationally (25% of the time) as well as adheres to Fluence’s office policy.
Responsibilities
  • Create, support, and execute the technical product strategy of Fluence OS.
  • Responsible for communicating the strategy, roadmap, and value propositions of Fluence’s software & controls capabilities to both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Work in conjunction with all regional functions, and regional product management to understand and create product requirements that meet the market needs.
  • Lead product reviews to ensure that product roadmaps are inclusive of future market needs, compliance, and developments.
  • Actively engage with key stakeholders to ensure product information is seamlessly transferred.
  • Participation in key product and development efforts including product discovery and design process, product requirement development, platform and technology development processes, and development of product training and collateral.
  • Work with cross-business Product Managers to ensure the software & controls capabilities and limitations are factored into the product program teams.
  • Work with the Technical Agile development teams to ensure the technical solutions they develop meet the needs of Fluence’s customers.
  • Support the Regional sales teams and Fluence Digital sales teams by responding to customer proposal questions and engaging with customers to clarify requirements around software & controls.
  • Work with the Regional and Fluence Digital Strategy teams to conduct competitor analyses and stay current with market trends and innovation in the software & controls space.
  • Develop an understanding of needs based on customer requirements, industry standards, and regional regulations, evaluate the business case of implementing those needs in products, and communicate those needs to the engineering team via requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, and act on customer feedback to inform product enhancements and future product development.
  • Conduct product presentations to customers and at industry events.
