Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
  • Build, migrate, and own BI dashboards in Power BI (migrating from Tableau): RTO/RPO compliance heatmaps, system readiness scorecards, DR test status, assessment status, findings & exceptions.
  • Create self-service Power BI reports to reduce ad‑hoc reporting and enable role-based access.
  • Automate audit evidence packs for internal and external auditors.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to identify critical, time‑sensitive functions define and periodically review recovery time (RTO) and recovery point (RPO) objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Visa’s disaster recovery (DR) program aligned to security and resiliency standards.
  • Lead governance and cross‑team coordination for the Offline Backup & Recovery program measure compliance and report KPIs.
  • Plan, execute, and lead DR exercises track findings and remediation maintain plans and runbooks.
  • Regularly validate and update DR plans through rigorous testing, lessons‑learned, and maintenance cycles.
  • Establish reference architectures and standards for recovery of applications and infrastructure across core platforms and cloud services.
  • Investigate and advise on network dependencies for DR (routing, VPNs, firewalls, DNS).
  • Define and validate data protection patterns (backups, replication, encryption, immutability, offline backups) across storage platforms.
  • Guide database resilience for MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB: backup/restore, replication, and failover test and document runbooks.
  • Integrate with middleware and messaging platforms (Java services, Apache Kafka/Tomcat, Hazelcast) to ensure end‑to‑end recovery.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands on experience building enterprise dashboards and analytics in Power BI and Tableau, including data modeling (Power BI semantic models), DAX/Power Query, Tableau calculations/LOD, governance, and performance optimization.
  • Experience migrating dashboards and data pipelines from Tableau to Power BI.
  • Experience in Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning partnering with IT on DR/BC plan development and maintenance.
  • Experience with critical business processes, products, and services.
  • Technical Architect applying resiliency architectures and design patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of application, system, and infrastructure architectures backup/restore strategies and methods to maximize data availability and reduce interruption or data loss.
  • Solid understanding of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and its partnership with ITDR at both business and technical levels.
  • Experience monitoring DR programs for audit and regulatory compliance ability to author and implement DR/BC standards, procedures, and runbooks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication proven ability to build cross functional partnerships and drive joint initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify process improvements, isolate key issues, evaluate alternatives, and make clear recommendations.
