Job Summary

Performs basic facility cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Perform cleaning and janitorial duties inside the warehouse facilities and office, grounds maintenance, and minor repair work.
• Report needs for major repairs to the Plant Manager.
• Keep custodial supply area/room neat and orderly, and report supply orders to appropriate personnel.
• Mow and trim lawn and hedges. Clean snow from entrances and sidewalks. If an outside vendor is used for these services, insure with the vendor that the services are completed timely and satisfactorily.  May be participate in vendor selection and management.
• Assist in checking building for safety hazards and report any deficiency.
• Participate, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assist in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or manager.

• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Physically able to bend, stoop, climb, and reach.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., with or without accommodation.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical-type repairs.
• Some custodial experience preferred.
• Passion for cleanliness.
