Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks related to the shipping and receiving of equipment, supplies, files or records. May be required to make pickups and deliveries.
Education, Experience and Training:Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program. Three (3) years of work related experience or 45 hours of college credit or a combination of the two.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record. Will be required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history. Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, organize and process work and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, departments and the general public.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:May require prolonged sitting, standing, walking and the ability to lift files, boxes, and other materials in excess of 50 lbs., assisted.1. Receives, stores, inventories and maintains supplies, equipment, files and records.
2. Issues and distributes equipment, supplies, files and records to County departments and maintains related reports.
3. Orders physical inventory by preparing requisitions to replenish inventory, contacts vendors for price quotes, obtains status of orders and reconciles inventory discrepancies.
4.Utilize computerized maintenance management system to track equipment and inventory.
5.Operates a vehicle to deliver items to various departments.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
