  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I and JPME Phase II
  • JPME II-equivalent courses: Air War College, Army War College, Naval War College
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills; Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working at an operational and strategic level
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph, or active TS/SCI with the willingness to get a polygraph.
Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze existing directives, policies, doctrines, strategies, and/or instructions from Joint Staff (JS) and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and make recommendations to ensure timely compliance and/or consideration in deliberate and crisis planning efforts.
  • Participate in and provide input to Operational Design (OD), determining CDR USCYBERCOM’s operational planning approach.
  • Participate and provide input throughout all planning functions, from translating strategic guidance through concept and plan development (i.e., OD, mission analysis, Course of Action [COA] development, COA analysis and war-gaming, COA comparison, COA approval, and plan or order development).
  • Contribute to developing, revising, and coordinating campaign and contingency plans to include Commander’s Estimates, Base Plans, Concept Plans, and Operations Plans, and ensure CO is integrated with all appropriate and associated annexes and appendices.
  • Participate in all joint operation contingency and crisis planning activities to ensure proper translation of applicable strategic guidance and application of the Joint Planning Process (JPP) to craft requisite plans and orders.
  • Assist in the development of contingency/crisis action plans for USCYBERCOM operations in accordance with the Joint Planning and Execution System or other governing DoD doctrine.
  • Initiate and make recommendations to Government leadership on planning process changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness as well as on new product/service offerings to enhance the support to deliberate and crisis planning effort.
