Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a production-related field.
  • 5–7 years of professional experience in motion graphics, animation, or video production.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, and other compositing software.
  • Strong foundation in non-linear editing, visual aesthetics, and animation principles.
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal—with thorough knowledge of English grammar and usage. Additional language fluency is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret complex instructions and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • This position will be based at our National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and be eligible for hybrid work.
Responsibilities
  • Lead Motion Design Execution Develop high-impact motion graphics and animations using Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and other advanced compositing tools—delivering content that captivates and inspires across digital and broadcast channels.
  • Concept Development & Storytelling Collaborate with creative, content, and campaign teams to translate complex narratives into engaging visual stories and motion design concepts that support organizational goals.
  • Design Standards & Mentorship Establish and promote motion design best practices across Creative + Content teams, ensuring brand consistency and mentoring peers on animation principles and executional excellence.
  • Advanced Post-Production Integration Oversee the integration of 3D elements, VFX, rotoscoping, keying, and compositing—ensuring technical precision and creative integrity in all post-production deliverables.
  • Seamless Video Integration Ensure motion graphics are cohesively embedded into video content, maintaining narrative flow, visual continuity, and platform-optimized delivery.
  • Platform Optimization Strategy Partner with marketing and channel leads to tailor content for various platforms, adapting aspect ratios, durations, branding elements, and accessibility features.
  • Project Management & Delivery Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, balancing creative innovation with operational efficiency to meet deadlines and exceed quality expectations.
  • Brand Representation & Collaboration Serve as a strategic ambassador for ALSAC/St. Jude, fostering strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and volunteers.
  • Compliance & Accessibility Ensure all content adheres to legal, brand, and accessibility standards, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions that uphold trust and integrity.
