Requirements
  • 10-15 years of product management experience in the digital media, B2C technology or related industries, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing managers.
  • A natural pace-setter with high EQ, who excels at team and culture-building.
  • Well versed in best practices and common product development frameworks.
  • Experience with launching and/or meaningfully scaling digital media/content, B2C technology, and/or SEO-driven products.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape, user behavior, and emerging technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or an analytical field is preferred. Advanced degree is also preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of product managers and UI/UX professionals from ideation and discovery through to delivery and measurement.
  • Create a high functioning team that is collaborative, communicative, accountable and transparent.
  • Communicate and explain the product roadmap to all stakeholders, including market-based context and technology updates with the goal of ensuring understanding, alignment and operational efficiency.
  • Able to achieve stakeholder buy-in even in contentious situations, particularly when explaining tradeoffs, opportunities and risks.
  • Develop and manage day-to-day execution of Fortune’s product roadmap with input from readers, customers and internal stakeholders to support their respective needs and business goals.
  • Pragmatically prioritize the roadmap based on clear, explainable principles and tradeoffs.
  • Transparently measure and analyze outcomes/impact of product development.
  • In collaboration with our VP of Data Analytics and SVP of Engineering, jointly deliver: An end-to-end agile development process is high velocity, data-driven, high quality and results/impact-prioritized; Company-wide accountability for product & tech health metrics and business outcomes.
