We are looking to hire a co-op to the Data Science Research team and to help us explore possibilities for new features, optimize current pipelines, and analyze the wide variety of data that powers the Intelligence Cloud. You will analyze various modalities of data (structured and text), generate research documents ranging from new data source assessment to describing new algorithms, and write Python code to support these efforts.
This is a full time opportunity approximately 40 hours per week from January 2024 through May/June 2024.
What you will do as a Data Science Research Analyst Intern:
- Conduct investigations into new sources of data and feature development, and clearly communicate outcomes
- Generate resilient Python code to deliver data artifacts within larger systems
- Interface with product management about your projects
- Directly collaborate with engineers to productionize prototype code and ensure underlying logic is applied at scale
What you will bring as a Data Science Research Analyst Intern:
- Pursuing a degree in a technical discipline (i.e. statistics, mathematics, computer science) with a keen interest in creating data-centric solutions
- Given an ambiguous data problem to solve, you can propose and execute a solution
- Experience building lightweight applications/performing data analysis with Python
- Experience with presenting quantitative analyses
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience using version control systems such as Git
- Experience using command line functionality a plus
- Experience using Elastic/MongoDB a plus
