Web Engineer @ Spotify | Simplify Jobs

DiscoPOP is a squad within the Create Product Area of the Podcast Mission. This role would be a new Web Engineer on the DiscoPOP squad that directly impacts major priorities we have including unhosted onboarding, video creator entry, and importer experiences.

We are looking for a well-rounded Web Engineer to join our team in creating, maintaining, and owning our frontend onboarding products. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a rapidly growing team that creates and improves tooling that hundreds of thousands of podcast creators use every month.

What You’ll Do

Collaborate with your manager, product, engineers, designers, and analysts across the Podcast Mission to plan, design, and execute technical solutions.
Build & maintain scalable applications for both internal and external users.
Ensure cross-browser and multi-platform compatibility.
Run A/B tests to optimize conversion.
Share knowledge, document processes, and evangelize best practices.
Ensure that our user experience is the very best it can be for our creators.

Who You Are

A minimum of 2+ years of experience in modern React development.
Strong fundamentals in Javascript (React), HTML, and CSS. Typescript is a plus.
Strong communication skills and can work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to take initiative and work independently.
An understanding of Javascript design patterns, data structures, and web architecture.
Passionate about the user experience and best technical practices.
Inquisitive about the latest technologies and are always looking for ways to improve our existing products.
Eager to learn and grow - always open to new ideas and challenges.

The United States base range for this position is $122,716 - $175,308, plus equity, plus bonus or commission. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays. These ranges may be modified in the future.
