FP&A Intern- Summer 2025
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Intern to join our dynamic finance team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. As an FP&A Intern, you will work closely with our finance professionals to support the company’s strategic decision-making process and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Assist in the analysis of financial data, trends, and variances to support management in understanding financial performance and making informed decisions.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts by gathering data, analyzing historical trends, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy.
- Reporting: Help create and maintain financial reports and dashboards, including monthly and quarterly financial summaries, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Data Management: Assist in the collection, organization, and management of financial data to ensure accuracy and accessibility for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Process Improvement: Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements within the FP&A function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Support the finance team with various ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial modeling and analysis tools. Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work, ensuring the integrity of financial data and analysis.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to collective goals.
- Initiative: Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for the RF-SMART Summer Internship Program, students must meet the following requirements:
- Enrolled in a degree program at the time of the internship
- Considered a Junior or Senior by credit hours
- Available to work 40 hours per week on-site at US East Office in Jacksonville, FL
- Eligible to work in the United States of America for any employer without the need for future sponsorship
Details of the Program:
- Duration: 5/12/2025 – 8/1/2025 (12 Weeks)
- Hours: 40hrs per Week (9am-5pm Eastern Time)
- Learning & Development Activities: Approximately 5-6hrs per Week of these activities including: Group Project, Meet the Leader Sessions, Mentorship Program, and classes focused on professional growth
