General Notes
This is a Workstudy position for students attending UT Austin.
- A workstudy Fall 2026 award letter must be attached along with the other required materials to be considered
- This position is in-person
- Spring 2027 employment may be considered with performance and Spring 2027 workstudy secured
Purpose
To support the Department of Asian Studies faculty and staff.
Responsibilities
- Copy and/or scan various office documents and check for accuracy
- Monitor office supplies inventory management; communicate with supervisor when supplies need to be re-ordered
- Assist in activities, events, and special projects in the department. Participate in processes and activies designed to establish an organizational culture
- Assist with website(s) and social media management. Work in Canva to develop event promotional materials
- Front desk email and phone coverage
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Be awarded Federal Work-Study on Work-Study Verification (WSV)
- Meet satifacory academic progress standards as set by the Office of Scholarship and Financial Aid
- Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student's academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of administrative experience
