Requirements
  • Experience in general building repairs and maintenance (trade qualifications in carpentry, plumbing, electrical or painting highly regarded)
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and in a small team
  • Great communication and presentation, with a guest-focused approach
  • Understanding of safe work practices and WH&S standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks effectively
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and general maintenance across guest rooms, bathrooms, public spaces, and outdoor areas
  • Complete painting and surface repairs when required
  • Test and repair room items such as TVs, phones, remote controls, irons, and hair dryers
  • Maintain air-conditioning filters, lighting, wardrobes, beds, lamps, and guest door locking systems
  • Ensure all guest requests are completed promptly and accurately, updating maintenance logs
  • Support upkeep of plant rooms, workshops, and inventory levels
  • Assist the team with ad-hoc duties to ensure our hotel runs smoothly
