Requirements
  • University or graduate degree in a technical area of study, with a preference in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering
  • Experience in software development and/or project management and/or business (system) analysis or other relevant professional experience
  • Experience with agile practices including scrum/Kanban, agile ceremonies (standups, backlog refinement, team demos) and tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience delivering small to medium complex projects within agile team and clear understanding of the various activities within a delivery project
  • Experience scheduling activities across all delivery teams to deliver a common capability, and Strong communication skills with ability to work cross-functionally to articulate, measure and solve issues
  • Knowledge of Scaled Agile practices and experience with Planview and/or RBC MIS (Management Information System)
Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile initiatives from initiation through release, providing oversight to ensure alignment with RBC Agile/Scrum practices, including but not limited to, project kick-off, sprint, release and deployment planning
  • Accountable alongside the scrum team for the achievement of release objectives and results that meet Line of Business stakeholders’ needs and expectations
  • Track and manage risks to delivery and reporting financials for the Team
  • Facilitate discussion leading to collective decision-making, goal setting and conflict resolution within the team
  • Remove impediments to deliver success through the proactive management of external dependencies and simple team problem-solving, considering options and selecting solutions; escalate issues through business and/or IT channels where necessary
  • Accountable for creating and maintaining the appropriate vehicles for open communication within the scrum team (e.g. tracker boards) to create a trusting and safe team environment
  • Manage team performance to promote joint accountability for results and solve productivity issues
  • Facilitate and engage in business analysis, user experience and technical conversations across platforms
  • Navigate and identify shared IT services required by the team in the delivery of its objectives
Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to apply RBC Agile Management Framework and SAFe experience is an asset
  • BFSI Domain Knowledge and knowledge of Generative AI development
