Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grant Analyst II to join our Information Services division at OMES. The Grant Analyst II will be responsible for overseeing the entire grant lifecycle, from identifying funding opportunities to managing awarded grants. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of grant management processes to ensure compliance and maximize funding opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential grant opportunities from federal, state, and private sources.
- Develop and write grant proposals that align with the strategic goals of OMES IS.
- Oversee the submission of grant applications, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
- Manage awarded grants, including budget monitoring, compliance, and reporting.
- Collaborate with department heads, project managers, and financial officers to gather necessary information for grant submissions and management.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and submissions.
- Track the progress of submitted grants and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Prepare and submit progress reports and final reports for awarded grants.
- Establish and maintain relationships with grant agencies and funding organizations.
- Provide training and support to staff on grant management processes and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Five years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, or grant management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.
Preference will be given to candidates who possess
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience managing government grants and working with funding agencies.
- Knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
