- A high school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- Basic Life Support training or retraining must be completed during orientation before providing patient care and maintained through retraining throughout employment.
- At least one year of clerical experience in a medical or patient-care setting is required.
- Experience using hospital and laboratory information systems, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may satisfy the requirements.
- Provide supervisory support for Lead Lab Assistants and Lab Assistants at off-site drawing facilities.
- Ensure adequate staff training and staffing levels.
- Communicate with laboratory supervisors and doctors' offices.
- Develop and maintain outpatient phlebotomy policies and procedures.
- Oversee inventory control at all off-site locations.
- Coordinate and develop laboratory assistants.
- Provide tools and training for laboratory assistants.
- Assist the supervisor with general management functions.
- Work cooperatively as part of the team.
- Multilingual ability is desired but not required.
- Experience in multiple technical disciplines is desirable.
- Supervisory experience is desirable.
- Customer service experience is desirable.
