Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or concentration in Finance required with 4-6 years’ experience in accounting (2 of which were in a supervisory role)
CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred (strong understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Strong working knowledge Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel, Access, and Word
Knowledge of Infinium, Oracle, Hyperion and/or Business Objects a plus
Excellent organizational, managerial, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills, ability to work in a team-based, continuous improvement environment
Business Acumen
This position will require extensive interaction with Sales and Marketing
Report and review the correctness, relevance and timeliness of the financial and other information that is provided for management
Responsibilities
Acts as department liaison for Finance, Legal and other departments.
Involved in general and administrative expense forecasts.
Prepare monthly actual general and administrative expenses variance analysis and explanations.
Coordinate and prepare accrual information for benefits, Legal and HR to be booked as required.
Review and analysis of corporate cost allocations monthly.
Coordinate and prepare information for auditors.
Assist with coordination and preparation of annual budgeted general and administrative expenses including reporting, analysis.
Coordination and preparation of monthly actual and annual budget schedules and analysis for headcount, insurance, benefits, and general and administrative expenses.
Monthly accounting close and verification of results for general and administrative expenses.
Gather accurate and timely projected financial information from Finance Department and work closely with other departments, such as Legal and HR, to provide and receive timely information to complete duties.
Work on special projects as needed
