  • M.S. or PhD in Physics, Optical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with >10+ years industry experience in semiconductors or telecommunication.
  • 10+ years experience development of electro-optical systems.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience & resolving team road blocks.

Responsibilities
  • Director of sub-systems for hardware system design of large quantum systems.
  • Own, define & generate sub-system specs & requirements.
  • Work effectively with cross functional team: quantums architect, electronics, mechanical/thermal teams, and build team.
  • Assess how to negotiate for tradeoffs and propose derisk plan to meet requirements.
  • Work with vendors and evaluate advanced optical components, boxes, and qualify such components for use in quantum computing applications.
  • Assess how to push technical boundarys to meet tight optical/ mechanical and thermal specs.
  • Lead & execute designs, development of large sub systems in vacuum.
  • Lead build and test prototypes plan, generate BOM.
  • Lead and derisk different scenarios in a fast paced environment.
  • Write and maintain documentation of system performance.
  • Clear communication and technical lead engineer teams.

  • Industry experience with hardware system & electro-optics.
  • Industry experience with systems in vacuum and low temperature operation (cryogenic).
  • Managed and lead system with complex and multi-domain nature.
  • Has a know how to scale from small sub system to large sub systems.

PsiQuantum is seeking to raise $750 million in a new equity funding round led by BlackRock, with a pre-money valuation of $6 billion.
