Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in science (e.g., engineering, safety, IH, etc.) preferred
  • 5-10 years’ experience managing safety and environmental programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to maintain alignment across functions
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to interact with site level manufacturing/business management and regulatory agencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of food manufacturing and GMP preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving safety or environmental programs in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with hazard recognition, behavioral-based safety, job hazard analysis preferred
  • Experience in management of Security function preferred
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement site HSE strategy
  • Develop and implement facility’s Environmental Management System
  • Set HSE targets and deliver against them
  • Deploy company HSE Standards
  • Execute site environmental compliance programs
  • Manage hazardous waste management activities
  • Develop and deploy site-specific HSE programs and plans
  • Deliver training and coaching on HSE expectations
  • Investigate HSE-related incidents and drive corrective actions
  • Lead site efforts to measure and improve Industrial Hygiene Risk
  • Own site Contractor Safety program
  • Manage Risk Management activities for asset conservation
  • Flex work hours to support site needs
  • Manage worker’s compensation claims and incident follow-through
