Responsibilities
  • Register and process check-ins for all arrivals.
  • Handle guest checkouts efficiently and professionally.
  • Update guest information in the computer after completing check-in.
  • Perform cashiering duties, foreign exchange transactions, night audit tasks, and settlement upon guests’ departure.
  • Handle walk-in counter reservations and process call-in reservations when the reservations section is closed.
  • Provide friendly and courteous service and respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Resolve guest complaints and requests and liaise with the concerned department to ensure immediate follow-up.
  • Issue guest room key cards and maintain effective control for guest security.
  • Check and convey messages, mail, and packages to guests.
  • Assist at the information counter, foreign exchange, night audit, and business center as assigned.
  • Apply knowledge of hotel rate codes, packages, segmentation, discounts, and related procedures.
  • Handle safe-deposit boxes according to policies and procedures.
  • Report unusual occurrences and requests to the manager.
  • Follow hotel accident-prevention policies.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the front-office area.
  • Greet all guests upon hotel arrival and departure.
  • Review the logbook, verify outstanding items, follow up on pending items, and identify daily special assignments.
  • Check hotel situation, occupancy, functions, groups, and VIPs.
  • Communicate all operational information required by the next shift at the end of the shift or day.
  • Prepare daily arrivals, including room allocations, amenities, and guests’ special requests.
  • Maintain continuous contact with hotel guests to ensure problems and complaints are handled efficiently and courteously.
  • Review and update the logbook.
  • Check equipment.
  • Maintain a smart, well-groomed appearance and a friendly, cheerful disposition.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations.
  • Report regularly on happenings to the Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager.
  • Follow fire procedures and first-aid procedures.
  • Handle guest complaints and report them to the manager.
