As a Workplace Safety Officer, you’ll step into a pivotal role, spearheading the maintenance and enhancement of our safety protocols and programs. Location: Remote - 50% travel across all our Data Centers

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Perform regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work processes to identify potential hazards and risks. Develop corrective action plans and oversee their implementation.
Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees, including orientation sessions for new hires and ongoing training to reinforce safety protocols.
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses. Analyze root causes and recommend preventive measures to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Collect and analyze safety data, including injury reports, near-miss reports, and safety performance metrics. Use data insights to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Stay updated on relevant safety regulations and standards. Ensure company compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and communication strategies during emergencies.
Work with the project management team to evaluate and drive the work from a safety-focused approach
Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by fostering awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement in safety practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in safety management.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
Certifications: Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, ASP, OHST), CHST, and 30-hour OSHA preferred.
Proven experience in workplace safety management, preferably in the technology industry
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $145,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
