Toast is looking for an R&D Program Manager to join our growing team.  You will be responsible for Product initiatives under the Data Products Team i.e.,  Reporting 3.0 program, Enterprise Reporting, Performance Center and Operator App products.  You’ll be a perfect fit if you love working with software teams, have great communication and can coordinate complex customer facing product rollout and deprecation efforts across a wide range of internal teams. This role can sit fully remote in the US or hybrid in Boston, MA. 

About this roll* (Responsibilities):

• Collaborates closely with Product Manager on product roadmap, release planning and business prioritization
• Manage internal and external dependencies for the project or program
• Responsible for the team to follow processes, establishing and actively facilitating the cadence of ceremonies, and removing team impediments or escalating as per defined SLAs
• Articulate the overall project risk and risk mitigation plan and make it transparent to the relevant stakeholders
• Assist in cross functional coordination with other R&D teams and customer facing departments
• Collaborates with Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, Product Marketing and Customer Marketing to ensure work is clearly defined and being tracked to ensure successful launch and adoption
• Identify process improvements that can be implemented across the organization

Do you have the right ingredients? (Experience)

• 4+ years Technical program management experience and software delivery
• Understanding of and experience with the nuances of software development
• Creates self-organizing teams, build consensus and resolve conflict
• Demonstrated experience of project/program management techniques
• Strong relationship and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Demonstrated teamwork
• Bonus: Has experience managing customer facing product rollouts and change management
