  • Must be a full-time student working towards graduation
  • Must be able to work 20 hours per week
  • Must be able to lift upto 50lbs
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to pantry guests, responding to questions, requests forassistance, and suggestions
  • Provide the best in person service to all members who attend the pantry, ensuring that basic need supports are provided, such as food, and hygiene items.
  • Help create an inclusive environment in which all individuals who visit the pantry feel welcomed, and respected.
  • Assiststudents who walk-in to access the pantry and help gather theappropriate data.
  • Inform Pack Provisions users aboutadditionalneeded resources so that members feel encouraged to return to the pantry over time.
  • Assistwith inventory, picking up food orders from community partners, loading, unloading, and stocking shelves
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and effective communication alwaysin order toassistwithoperatingthe pantry and its programming
  • Assistwith program data records.
  • Ensure that community and campus resources in the pantry are always updated and available to users.
  • Ensure the pantry isin accordance withproper health codes by safely handling and storing food, completing necessaryexpirationcompliance and temperature logs
  • Clean the pantry, storage areas, and distribution tools, as needed
  • Attend outreach, andassistwith donation drives
  • Serve as an ambassador for the pantry byrepresentingPack Provisions both on- and off- campus, interacting with students, staff, faculty, alumni, media, and community partners in person, on the phone, and through email
  • Support the mission of the ASUN Center for Student Engagement and values including, equity and inclusion, learning, service,leadershipand community
  • Oversee pantry marketing needs in collaboration with Inkblot (ordering more handbills, tabling materials, stickers, creating content for CSE Social Media page, and fliers for events)
  • Accurately record food and supply expenditures in budget
  • Create and update educational materials aboutadditionalresources available to students/staff
  • Collaborate with various food insecurity committees and the Coordinator, Student Food Pantry
  • Research literature and best practices for campus food pantries, and stay apprised of local and national conversations related to student food insecurity
  • Develop/improve policies and procedures, as necessary
  • Collaborate with Outreach Student Lead for content / weekly social media posts
  • Manage Pack Provisionsemail,and list serve responding to emailin a timely mannerand/or forwarding emails to appropriate staff
  • Responsible forsubmittingmonthly FBNN reports and updating monthly history data by the 10thof each monthregardless ofif the 10thfalls on a weekend
  • Reconciling Meal Swipe donations each semester
  • Monthly Thank you cards to top 3 donors and to on/off campus leads hosting donation and/or fundraiser drives
