Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science with 5 years of experience or 3 years of experience with Masters degree
  • Strong desire to work on and with networked control processes
  • Strong desire to support Rocket Motor Manufacturing processes
  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science with 8 years of experience or 6 years of experience with Masters degree
Responsibilities
  • Developing and executing the strategic integration of OT systems for PS 24/7 operations
  • Review current and new OT systems operation, design, and uplift services for interoperability on modernized networks
  • Mapping current OT operations to modern solutions, leveraging BU investments in Software Defined Networks on new expanded plant central software agreements (Rockwell, etc.)
  • Design resilient, highly available Controls systems, manage, upgrade, secure, and maintain OT systems and hardware
  • Work closely with PM stakeholders, Controls, SCADA, Facilities, and Enterprise IT, Infosec and Cybersecurity teams on recurring and non-recurring OT financial investments to evaluate, propose, select, and develop improvements in service
  • Troubleshoot OT systems operations with Enterprise IT, Network, and Facilities/Process Controls engineering team
  • Assists in any OS, database, or application patching and upgrades, as needed
  • Follows the methodology and process for change control, application support, software back up and escalation
  • Strong Industrial Networking skills including general OT network connectivity and troubleshooting, Windows based PC applications, industrial networks, TCP/IP/IoT connectivity, PLCs, Cloud Connectivity, Data Analytics, SCADA, and control systems and how to effectively apply these technologies to complex manufacturing environments
  • Systems administration (Windows, Linux, VMware, virtualization, vendor provided), create and update plant architecture drawings and process flows as required. Ability to build/image/support Windows and Linux desktops and laptops in both IT & OT environments
  • Support for 24/7 manufacturing operations, outage response, and prioritization
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience digital performance management and industrial controls platform communication applications
  • Training course in Managing Industrial Networks (Cisco, Rockwell, college class, etc.)
  • Experience with firewall policy configurations for Cisco and Palo Alto
  • Network / Industrial Management Certifications such as CCNA / CCNP / CISSP (or similar), NET+ (or similar), ISA (or similar) Training and/or Certifications, NIST (or similar) Training and/or Certifications
  • Experience in explosive operating areas is a plus
  • Computer Process Control experience (PLCs, Etc.)
