Requirements
  • Previous experience in human resources and administrative work is required.
  • A diploma or degree in Administration, Hospitality, or Human Resources Management is an asset.
  • Fluency in both official languages is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and other office programs is required.
  • Ability to remain focused and calm in a busy office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a highly confidential environment and deal with colleagues with tact, diplomacy, and warmth.
  • Patience and empathy.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome colleagues visiting People & Culture for general inquiries and provide support as needed.
  • Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process from requisition through candidate onboarding.
  • Maintain high standards throughout the recruitment and selection process.
  • Review resumes and assessments in the Talent Acquisition System and on internet sites daily.
  • Administer the Talent Acquisition System, enter requisitions promptly, and update external and internal job descriptions and postings for accuracy.
  • Liaise with departmental recruiters to support recruitment and plan recruitment needs.
  • Assist departments with reference checks when needed.
  • Handle criminal background check forms.
  • Create offer letters for colleague and leadership positions.
  • Open paper files for new colleagues, take their photos, prepare name tags, and assign lockers.
  • Conduct monthly locker audits.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with leading hotel schools and participate in on-campus recruitment.
  • Handle co-op student requests and coordinate placements with department heads.
  • Provide administrative support to the People & Culture office, including daily mail, telephone and email inquiries, employment letters, stationery orders, and file organization.
  • Respond to colleague inquiries professionally, courteously, and promptly.
  • Conduct the termination process and related paperwork.
  • Organize and participate in internal activities, including recognition and employee events.
  • Assist the Director of People & Culture with other assigned tasks.
  • Follow all safety policies.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
