The Creative Strategist serves as the connective tissue between data and production: the person who identifies what's converting, understands why, and translates those insights into briefs that move metrics. This is a highly cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of performance marketing, brand, and content. You'll work closely with the Performance Marketing Manager and partner with Maven's brand team, creators, and external agencies to build a rigorous, always-on creative testing engine. As targeting advantages continue to erode and AI reshapes how creative is produced and distributed, this role becomes increasingly critical - differentiation now comes from strategy and message quality, not asset volume alone. This is a remote role open to candidates based in the United States, with a strong preference for those in San Francisco. As a Creative Strategist, you will: * Own the creative strategy for paid acquisition, developing and maintaining a weekly and monthly brief cadence across Meta, TikTok, and other paid channels; treat brief quality as the highest-leverage part of the job * Translate performance data into creative direction by analyzing what's working across hook rate, hold rate, CTR, and CVR, and turning those learnings into actionable briefs * Own creative from brief through execution, working directly with designers, editors, and AI platforms to bring concepts to life * Write platform-native UGC scripts and collaborate with creators, talent, and editors to ensure authenticity, narrative clarity, and optimized calls to action * Use AI creative tools (video generation, copy iteration, image tools) to generate and test ad variants at speed, increasing creative velocity and expanding test coverage * Develop a systematic approach to creative testing: hypotheses, angles, hooks, and structured experiments focused on acquisition efficiency and conversion * Maintain consistent creative volume to support scaling paid budgets, owning the operational layer (asset library, naming conventions, agency handoffs) that enables speed and scale * Build and maintain a competitive creative intelligence practice, staying current on what's working in the market, particularly in health and wellness * Own UGC and influencer creative strategy, including frameworks for sourcing, briefing, scripting, and testing creator content as a performance channel * Ensure all creative output meets healthcare advertising guidelines and platform policies We're looking for you to bring: * 4-6 years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, or growth, with meaningful time in consumer health, wellness, or DTC subscription businesses * A hybrid creative and performance mindset: you understand what makes creative convert - not just what looks good - and can diagnose whether an issue is rooted in hook rate or hold rate * Proven track record of writing briefs and UGC scripts that have moved metrics; strong POV on direct response formats, hooks, and what earns trust in a health context * Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (video generation, copy iteration, synthetic testing), actively using them to move faster and expand testing capacity * Fluency in key performance metrics (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CVR, CPA, LTV:CAC) and experience using data to drive creative decisions * Experience owning the full UGC pipeline: sourcing, scripting, briefing, and testing creator content at scale * Comfortable owning both the strategic and operational sides of creative production; you build process where none exists and keep velocity high The base salary range for this role is $145,000 - $170,000 per year. You will also be entitled to receive equity and benefits. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, and skillset. This role requires active work authorization in the US. At Maven we believe that a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences enrich our teams and allow us to achieve above and beyond our goals. If you do not have experience in all of the areas detailed above, we hope that you will share your unique background with us in your application and how it can be additive to our teams. Benefits That Work For You Our benefits are designed to support your health, well-being and career development, helping you thrive both personally and professionally. We remain focused on providing a competitive benefits package for our employees. The partnership connects Maven's virtual clinic services with Wellthy's care coordination platform across key moments including high-risk pregnancies, return-to-work transitions, and complex paediatric care. Employees can access clinical support whilst receiving help with logistics such as childcare searches, insurance claims and eldercare arrangements. Wellthy provides personalised care support to millions through major employers including Best Buy, Cisco and Hilton.
Maven Clinic partners with Wellthy to support the 'sandwich generation' The companies will provide employees with clinical services and caregiving support to help them navigate fertility, family growth and eldercare. New York-based virtual women's health provider Maven Clinic announced a strategic collaboration with care concierge company Wellthy to combine clinical care and caregiving support for employees. Maven Clinic is a digital reproductive health and family platform that offers fertility and family planning services, pregnancy and postpartum care, parenting and pediatric support, and menopause-related care. Wellthy offers a care concierge service that connects employees with care teams to help them navigate the healthcare system, including finding in-home support, understanding benefits, accessing legal resources and obtaining financial assistance. The company also offers Backup Care services to help employees find emergency care for family members, including daycares, on-site childcare facilities and other community-based programs. The aim of Maven and Wellthy's partnership is to help employees in the "sandwich generation, - those in the period of starting a family and caring for an older loved one - navigate the process from fertility, growing a family and overseeing eldercare. "This partnership is about building a system that reflects how people live, with clinical care and caregiving support together in one place. When technology makes that support intuitive, you don't just improve outcomes - you make it possible for people to ask for help in the first place," Kate Ryder, founder and CEO of Maven Clinic, said in a statement. THE LARGER TREND Maven Clinic has announced numerous partnerships over the past year, including a collaboration with health-tracking ring maker Oura that allows Maven's care teams to access Oura Ring wearers' biometric data, including sleep, stress and activity data. Maven also partnered with financial services provider Manulife Canada to give Manulife Group Benefits plan members access to its virtual women's health platform and Pinterest, offering the search and discovery company's employees access to mental health support, reproductive and family health specialists, and guidance on fertility, pregnancy, parenting and menopause. In 2024, Maven Clinic secured $125 million in Series F funding, bringing its total raise to more than $425 million. The round came two years after the company announced a $90 million Series E raise. In 2021, the company closed a $110 million Series D funding round, and in 2020 raised $45 million in Series C funding. Maven raised $27 million in Series B funding in 2018 and $10.8 million in a Series A round in 2017, bringing its total funding at the time to over $15 million. Meanwhile, last year, Wellthy acquired Patch Caregiving, which works with employers to design on-site and near-site backup childcare programs for employees. In 2024, Wellthy partnered with Guardian Life Insurance Company of America to offer caregiver support services to Guardian members with employer-sponsored disability insurance benefits. In 2023, Wellthy raised $25.5 million in funding, and in 2021, it secured $35 million in a Series B round.

Maven Clinic has introduced Maven Intelligence, an AI-powered orchestration layer embedded across its virtual clinic for women's and family health. The announcement was made at NVIDIA's GTC conference. The system integrates agentic AI with over 1 billion structured data points from Maven's longitudinal dataset, combining member history, benefits coverage and clinical data to deliver personalised care across fertility, maternity, parenting and menopause. Unlike standalone AI tools, Maven Intelligence is embedded within care delivery and uses conversational AI to guide members in real-time. The platform operates in a closed-loop design, refining guidance based on clinical outcomes like natural conception rates and NICU admissions. Maven has already demonstrated measurable impact, including up to 28% reduction in NICU admissions and 15% reduction in C-section rates. The system begins rolling out to members in March.
