Requirements
  • 8+ years of product management experience with developer products
  • 2+ years of experience using Terraform and one or more large cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Comfortable interfacing and communicating with customer executives in both business sponsor and technical decision maker roles
  • Familiarity with coding practices in modern programming languages like Java, Golang, Node, Ruby etc.
  • Experience with product discovery practices working collaboratively with engineering and design
  • Strong user and market research skills
  • Ability to organize multiple stakeholders towards a common goal
  • Analytical with the ability to prioritize and make tradeoffs
  • Strong technical acumen, with a solid understanding of infrastructure and open source
  • Comfortable talking to developers and platform engineers to work on product discovery
Responsibilities
  • Craft the Suite product story by understanding the landscape, user needs, and HashiCorp principles.
  • Lead the Customer Advisory Board (CAB) and regularly meet with CAB members to get ongoing feedback that is incorporated into our plans.
  • Regularly meet with industry analysts for feedback and translating industry trends into our plans.
  • Own and improve Infrastructure Lifecycle Management strategy documents to set the context for the product roadmap.
  • Develop and prioritize the product roadmap by taking feedback from practitioners, ecosystem partners, engineering, marketing, and the HashiCorp vision.
  • Conduct user research and write Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to distill the research into requirements.
  • Communicate product status to all partners. Keep sales and marketing updated on capabilities and their value and work collaboratively with engineering on feature requests.
  • Help with sales and marketing collateral to educate on the product story and features (website copy, white-papers, sales decks, FAQs, etc).
  • Act as an escalation point for product issues in the suite and help facilitate resolutions.
