Requirements
  • A Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Dental Medicine, or international equivalent degree is required.
  • A training certificate from a Commission on Dental Accreditation-accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery training program is required.
  • Eligibility for a regular, unlimited dental license by the Ohio State Dental Board is required.
  • Board eligibility or board certification by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is required.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to promote collegiality, collaboration, and diversity.
  • Candidates must be willing to serve as a role model and advocate for professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical teaching at the pre-doctoral level.
  • Supervise pre-doctoral students.
  • Provide direct patient care in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
  • Contribute to teaching, research, and service within the Division and College.
  • Provide full-scope oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures and office-based anesthesia procedures.
  • Provide facial trauma and odontogenic infection call services.
