Job Description
Student Assistant - Social Media and Office Support
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most job duties in Office of Student Success -Cottrell Hall. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, a student employee's maximum hours per week is 20.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative social media campaigns across various platforms
- Create engaging content, including posts, stories, videos, and graphics, that are relevant to student interests and needs
- Maintain a consistent posting schedule and monitor social media channels
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Success team to promote events, workshops, and resources
- Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices
- Assist with President’s Seminar
- Assist students with student planning when they have questions
- File student folders/other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA
- Detail oriented, organized, innovative, self-starter
- Active user of various social media platforms with a strong understanding of social media trends and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Must be comfortable with student planning and registering for classes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative with a passion for developing engaging content
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of branding
- Experience with Canva and editing platforms such as inshot/capcut
- Flexible schedule
