Requirements
  • You have 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with at least 2-3 years leading a team, ideally inside a high-growth, venture-backed healthcare or tech-enabled services organization.
  • You have personally owned a hiring plan through a period of rapid scale, roughly from 50 to 150+ employees.
  • You have hired both clinical talent, including nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, community health workers, and medical assistants, and corporate talent across operations, technology, and general and administrative functions.
  • You have a proven track record of success within scaling businesses, fast-paced environments, and startups.
  • You have built and developed a recruiting team and are willing to open the applicant tracking system and source candidates yourself.
  • You have built recruiting operations from the ground up, including applicant tracking system architecture, interview kits, scorecards, reporting, and vendor strategy.
  • You partner comfortably with Finance and executive leadership on workforce planning, compensation benchmarking, and trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality.
  • You can articulate a mission-driven story to a skeptical clinician or executive and bring them across the line in markets where they have never heard of the company.
  • You care deeply about the mission to provide care for the physical, emotional, and everyday realities of cancer for every patient.
Responsibilities
  • Own the talent strategy and the recruiting team that executes it.
  • Build and lead a small recruiting function, starting with a Clinical Recruiter and coordinator support, while remaining hands-on.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager of People Operations and executive team on workforce planning.
  • Translate market launch timelines into hiring plans and personally run critical corporate and leadership searches.
  • Build a single source of truth for clinical and corporate headcount tied to market launch dates and the financial plan.
  • Bring the headcount and hiring-risk view to leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Learn the recruiting philosophy, tools, templates, hiring managers, and leadership team, and assess which processes can support three-times hiring volume.
  • Identify roles at risk of missing launch timelines and intervene by rewriting roles, rebuilding sourcing strategies, or changing how opportunities are presented.
  • Work with clinical and market leadership to map oncology, value-based care, and health system talent landscapes in new markets.
  • Coordinate with the broader team and talent consultants to make the organization market-ready for launch and drive consultants' day-to-day work.
  • Ensure clinical and corporate hiring is completed on time and at the required quality level.
  • Hire, onboard, and develop a Clinical Recruiter and coordinator support, and define the recruiting function needed at 200 employees and beyond.
  • Own recruiting operations, including reporting, Greenhouse configuration, service-level agreements, scorecards, and interview kits.
  • Train hiring managers and interviewers on structured, outcomes-based interviewing.
  • Build the employer brand and candidate experience for clinicians and operators who want to change cancer care.
Desired Qualifications
  • Multi-market or new-market launch experience.
  • Familiarity with value-based care, oncology, or provider-side healthcare delivery.
  • Experience with Greenhouse.
  • Experience working in high-growth, venture-backed healthcare or tech-enabled services organizations.

Daymark Health partners with health plans to take on total cost of care risk and provides supplementary cancer care through in-home and virtual services. Its platform blends care navigation, 24/7 support, symptom management, and early palliative care via a twice-weekly symptom tool, delivered by a community team of nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and Health Partners. The model is tied to payer contracts and aims to keep patients outside traditional clinics, reducing fragmentation and coordinating care across the health system. The goal is to improve patient outcomes while lowering overall costs for payers and patients, addressing the needs of the roughly two million Americans diagnosed with cancer each year.

What believers are saying

  • September 2025 Series A from Healthier Capital and Blue Venture Fund strengthens balance sheet.
  • BCBSRI and Daymark expanded personalized cancer support across Rhode Island in 2025.
  • 2026 advisory board and Pinnacle award validate physician and payer credibility.

What critics are saying

  • Daymark depends on payer contracts; losing BCBSRI would compress revenue quickly.
  • Clinical economics remain unproven; the first VP of medical economics just arrived in 2026.
  • Accurate AI/analytics and care coordination failures would destroy trust and trigger contract exits.

What makes Daymark Health unique

  • Justin Bekelman’s oncology credibility and Penn pedigree anchor Daymark’s clinical trust.
  • BCBSRI partnership embeds Daymark inside payer workflows for 2,500 cancer patients.
  • Hybrid in-home and virtual supportive care differentiates beyond standard oncology navigation.
