Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required; a specialization in business, finance, or accounting is preferred.
  • A Certified Public Accountant designation or equivalent accounting designation is required, or the candidate must be working toward completion.
  • Three to five years of progressive finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Consumer packaged goods experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with costing methodologies and experience with SAP or another enterprise resource planning system are required.
  • Experience with performance management, financial analysis, and planning accountability is required.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, attention to detail, and strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Experience uncovering key insights and using them to make fact-based decisions is required.
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional partners using a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving is required.
  • A proactive, ambitious mindset and willingness to challenge the status quo are required.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with senior organizational leaders are required.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with plant managers and production teams to support the smooth operation of manufacturing facilities and investigate and resolve day-to-day issues.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of a comprehensive monthly manufacturing scorecard containing operational and financial key performance indicators, driver-based variance analysis, and visibility into overall plant performance.
  • Own innovation and site-level costing by reviewing and analyzing costing elements for each production line, validating product costing for innovation or formula changes with brand, supply chain, and research and development teams, and conducting ad hoc costing analytics.
  • Recommend productivity initiatives and improvement opportunities across the manufacturing footprint, including capital expenditure decisions, inventory management, controls, quality, and safety.
  • Drive compliance with costing policies, processes, and procedures and recommend improvements in efficiency; maintain documentation of costing processes and methodologies.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses with variance explanations and recommendations for plant managers, the finance team, and the senior leadership team.
  • Support the year-end audit by providing working papers, costing analytics, and timely responses to audit queries.
