This position is responsible for leading a team responsible for the preparation and execution for commercial market development and launch in the US for non-alliance immunology including assets inclusive of amlitelimab, rilzabrutinib and lunsekimig. This team will be critical to positioning these assets for commercial success as well as the path for future launches of blockbuster immunology products in the US.
The incumbent will initially help build and lead a team of 3 director level individuals. They will be a skilled commercial leader with extensive knowledge of the US healthcare system and will be relied upon to inform all US go-to-market launch planning efforts. Activities will be bespoke to each commercial opportunity but will include, but not be limited to, market shaping activities, biomarkers or other diagnostics, ecosystem building, patient services offerings and supporting the development of new or enhanced service lines as appropriate. In addition, the candidate will engage with healthcare providers (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), market access and patient stakeholders while working collaboratively with global counterparts and other US business partners.
This highly impactful role requires leadership and stakeholder management skills including ability to influence the organization cross-functionally including US and Global counterparts in medical, sales, market access, legal, compliance, and people & culture (human resources).
Main responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include:
Implement roadmap for new product launches in non-alliance immunology assets including amlitelimab, rilzabrutinib and lunsekimig. Each asset has multi-indication expected revenues of over €2bn-€5bn and collectively over €10bn
Inform the key aspects of the go-to-market approach for an asset that considers the end-to-end needs of commercialization from the time the launch product leaves Sanofi’s 3PL until it is delivered to the intended patient.
Identify critical success factors for launch and develop relevant engagement plans with tactics; drive implementation of the plan and monitor execution
Generate key insights and develop strategic recommendations to advance market recognition along with measuring key performance indicators
Collaborate with Value and Access colleagues who are responsible for conducting payer market research and develops pricing models using competitive data and relevant analogs to recommend pricing options and strategies as well as evaluate market trends and patient needs to maximize product access.
Partner with global marketers and agencies to develop branded and un-branded campaigns and assets with a best-in-class omnichannel approach, underpinned by market analysis and competitive benchmarking to drive ROI
Partner with and influence cross-functional stakeholders such as medical, market access, go to market capability (GTMC), to prepare the market for upcoming immunology launches. Work in conjunction with global immunology teams and align with the global marketing and launch strategies
Manage any related budgets, financial forecasts (in partnership with Finance and GTMC), and investment proposals needed
About you
Important Capabilities to be successful
Commercial and business acumen: the successful candidate will have a strong track record in the pharma/bio-pharma industry driving commercial success and launching new products in a range of roles inclusive of marketing, sales, market access, and market research.
Specialty therapeutic experience is required; immunology knowledge and experience a plus
Relationship management, conflict resolution and ability to work collaboratively, along with strong organizational and operational skills
Ability to influence across all levels of the organization
Data driven decision-maker; able to distill large amounts of data and information to find the lead story, communicate it effectively to others, and inspire action
Global experience and/or prior international assignment a plu
Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of relevant healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience
Prior people management is required
