Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience working in cybersecurity operations or information security.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and mature a 24/7 global incident response and digital forensics operating model, including intake, investigation, containment and eradication coordination, and recovery validation across multiple environments.
  • Own the functional strategy, multi-year roadmap, and KPI and OKR outcomes for incident response and forensics.
  • Work with the Global Head to define the vision for Autonomous Incident Response and Forensic Analysis and execute against that vision in alignment with the strategic design.
  • Partner with the SOC Director to define handoffs from detection and triage into investigation, establish escalation criteria, and implement feedback loops that improve detections, alert quality, and response playbooks.
  • Oversee budget planning, vendor management, and financial governance for global cyber operations tooling, services, and staffing.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale high-performing global teams of employees and partners; define operating rhythms, coverage models, escalation paths, and on-call expectations.
  • Serve as a lead escalation contact in a 24/7 environment and guide appropriate resources to resolution.
  • Provide executive-level oversight for audit, risk, and regulatory engagements related to cyber operations and ensure processes, evidence, and metrics meet policy and compliance requirements.
  • Deliver leadership reporting on cyber operations health, emerging threats, and risk posture; translate technical findings into business impact and prioritized actions.
  • Drive AI-assisted, human-in-the-loop incident response and forensics initiatives, including evidence and artifact enrichment, timeline reconstruction, case summarization, correlation across telemetry sources, and response recommendations with analyst validation and governance.
  • Establish governance for incident response playbooks and runbooks, case management workflows, evidence handling and retention, and chain-of-custody practices.
  • Provide incident command leadership for high-severity events and coordinate containment and recovery execution with infrastructure, identity, endpoint, cloud, application, legal, privacy, and communications stakeholders.
  • Oversee third-party incident response and forensics capabilities and managed services to ensure coverage, quality, evidence standards, and alignment to enterprise policies and service-level agreements.
  • Build an incident response operations analytics program to measure and continuously improve containment speed, investigation throughput, backlog health, automation effectiveness, and quality of outcomes across regions and shifts.
  • Lead incident readiness and validation exercises, including tabletop exercises and technical simulations, and ensure post-incident reviews drive measurable improvements to controls, detections, and response procedures.
  • Build and maintain forensic readiness capabilities, including standardized collection methods, artifact baselines, and investigative playbooks.
  • Provide global operational leadership during cyber events by coordinating communications, handoffs, and technical execution across regions, functions, and time zones.
  • Leverage threat intelligence and adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures research to inform scoping, attribution hypotheses, containment prioritization, and investigative direction.
  • Produce and govern recurring and ad hoc reporting on threats, trends, and program performance.
  • Champion innovation and modernization of cyber defense tooling and techniques, including evaluation and adoption of new capabilities that measurably reduce risk.
  • Partner with technology, product, and business leaders to align cyber operations priorities, drive remediation ownership, and embed security-by-design practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Relevant technical and industry certifications, such as CISSP, ISSMP, GCIA, CISM, CEH, GCFA, GCFE, GCIH, or GSEC.
  • Experience in one or more security domains including Security Governance and Oversight, Security Risk Management, Network Security, Threat and Vulnerability Management, or Incident Response and Forensics.
  • Experience with security data collection, analysis and correlation.
  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of offensive security, including common attack methods.
  • Understanding of how to pivot across multiple datasets to correlate artifacts for a single security event.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in security and regulatory frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST 800 series, FFIEC, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and STAR.
  • Ability to guide and mentor junior analysts in investigations.
  • Understanding of enterprise detection and response technologies and processes, including advanced threat detection tools, intrusion detection and prevention systems, network packet analysis, endpoint detection and response, firewalls, antimalware and antivirus, and security information and event management tools.
  • Experience with endpoint detection and response, email security, web application firewalls, and cloud security tooling.
  • Understanding of network protocols, operating systems including Windows, Unix, Linux, and macOS, databases, and mobile device security.
  • Knowledge of various types of cyberattacks and their implementations.
  • Fundamental understanding of enterprise cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and Cyber Kill Chain.
  • Experience in operational processes such as security monitoring, data correlation, troubleshooting, and security operations.
  • Preferred experience with Torq, 7AI, CrowdStrike, Tanium, Snowflake, Splunk, and ELK.
  • Scripting or programming experience.

September 3, 2026 Four Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group companies - Mitsubishi UFJ Asset Management, Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank, and Progmat - established the first domestically domiciled tokenized investment trust in Japan and began verification in a live production environment, reports BigGo Finance. The fund deploys ¥200 million (approximately $1.3 million) of proprietary capital in short-term Japanese government bonds with remaining maturities of three months or less, and will not be offered to external investors. Beneficiary registry management is conducted on a blockchain, while the certificate-based representation of units is maintained. The objective is to connect the fund with stablecoins and tokenized deposits, transforming investment trusts into "usable assets" that can serve as settlement instruments or collateral. MUFG EMEA appoints Bénédicte de Giafferri as Head of Digital Infrastructure Coverage. MUFG EMEA today announces the appointment of Bénédicte de Giafferri as Managing Director, Head of Digital Infrastructure Coverage for EMEA. In this newly created role, Bénédicte will further develop client relationships to deliver MUFG's pipeline of digital transactions, including data centres, in a product-agnostic role. As part of MUFG's EMEA coverage business, she will support clients with diversification of funding for this growing sector, which is evolving from traditional project financing to include corporate and securitisation structures. Bénédicte, with over 25 years' experience in banking and infrastructure finance, will build out the digital infrastructure strategy for EMEA and lead the EMEA team, working in close collaboration with colleagues in U.S. and APAC regions. She will be based in Paris and report locally to Genoveva Ramon-Borja, Head of Global Corporate and Investment Banking EU Platform and Corporate Coverage, and functionally to Holly Villiers, Deputy Head of Global Corporate and Investment Banking, EMEA. MUFG taps BlackRock and Morgan Stanley as it eyes Japanese private credit. September 1 2026 Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is exploring separate collaborations with BlackRock and Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) to develop an open platform for institutional investment in Japanese private credit. MUFG has entered into discussions with both firms on developing Japan's private credit segment, as the country's nascent market starts to attract global investors and managers look to expand their presence in the region. The potential collaborations aim to connect domestic and global capital with Japanese companies, MUFG said. The discussions will cover the evaluation, sourcing and investment in private credit opportunities, it added. MUFG brings a large Japanese corporate client network and local market access to the partnerships, while BlackRock contributes global private credit expertise through its HPS platform. MSIM, also brings its experience in the space, having provided debt solutions to businesses globally for more than 15 years. Japan's private credit market remains at a relatively early stage of development compared with those in Europe and the US. However, private credit firms, encouraged by a combination of macroeconomic factors and changing investor attitudes towards alternative credit, have recently been expanding their presence in Japan. For example, Fiera Capital opened a Tokyo office in October 2025 and made a number of hires, including Chinatsu Aoyama as director, private markets specialist, earlier this year.
