Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in commercial real estate finance or servicing
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant compliance experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Consistent attention to detail; acts professionally regarding sensitive subjects and maintains confidentiality while exercising discretion at all times
  • Sound interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities

Responsibilities
  • Provide compliance, oversight, monitoring and reporting for K-Star’s asset management and servicing platform
  • Assist with the ongoing maintenance of the compliance program, including state licensing program requirements and reporting, entity and state registration program requirements and reporting, conflicts checks requests and wall cross checks requests, and KYC/AML related requests and/or submissions
  • Manage K-Star’s annual compliance reporting communications, compliance notices and documents (digital and/or physical)
  • Coordinate the annual review of policies and procedures and assist with drafting, revising, and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of K-Star Compliance & Operational Risk Management Compliance Committee materials review, including ongoing maintenance of compliance risk assessments and assisting with testing and monitoring of Compliance controls
  • Assist in coordinating with colleagues in the Legal/Compliance team and other teams to identify and address any gaps between existing processes, including information barrier management and restricted list analysis
  • Manage pooling and servicing agreement abstracts for compliance and reporting requirements for Securities and the servicing agreements for compliance and reporting requirements for Direct Lending
  • Participate in special projects as needed to implement and maximize new technologies to support K-Star’s platform
