Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in SaaS application administration or IT Asset Management, with demonstrated hands-on technical depth.
  • At least 3 years of experience configuring, securing, and integrating SaaS applications in an enterprise environment, including single sign-on, API connections, and administration console management.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models, including named, concurrent, consumption, and enterprise agreements.
  • Ability to connect usage, entitlement, and spending data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate configuration and inventory data across multiple platforms and identify discrepancies through data analysis and system queries.
  • Demonstrated initiative in adopting and applying emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation tooling, to streamline operations and improve decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Own the roadmap and backlog for assigned SaaS applications or IT Asset Management tooling.
  • Drive operational improvements through automation, standardized practices, and governance oversight.
  • Balance compliance requirements with business productivity needs.
  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and engineering and support teams.
  • Define success metrics for adoption, cost efficiency, and risk posture.
  • Evaluate and vet new SaaS tools for technical compatibility, security posture, integration requirements, and administrative overhead before adoption.
  • Serve as the technical application administrator for approved SaaS platforms, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Configure and maintain single sign-on and conditional-access integrations, multifactor authentication enforcement, administrator role assignments, and security settings.
  • Automate SaaS administration workflows, including license provisioning and deprovisioning, role assignments, and access reviews.
  • Implement and support least-privilege access models, including management of service accounts, service principals, secrets, and API permissions.
  • Oversee and automate joiner, mover, and leaver user-lifecycle processes so access provisioning aligns with role, policy, and audit requirements.
  • Use artificial intelligence, APIs, scripting, and low-code platforms to reduce manual administrative effort and improve operational consistency.
  • Establish and document application-administration standards, including administrator ownership models, access-review cadences, and secure configuration baselines.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex application and access-related issues beyond Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
  • Own the software lifecycle for the defined portfolio of enterprise SaaS applications from onboarding through renewal and retirement.
  • Monitor application usage, license consumption, and spending to identify underutilization, reclaim seats, recommend license-model changes, and right-size contracts.
  • Lead renewal readiness by partnering with Finance and Procurement using historical usage and forward-looking demand.
  • Maintain an authoritative SaaS inventory, including license entitlements, assigned users, administrators, and integrations.
  • Drive visibility and optimization of SaaS spending, utilization, and risk posture across the assigned portfolio.
  • Support internal and external audits by performing periodic user access reviews and license-compliance validations.
  • Execute governance processes in alignment with IT Asset Management program standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of IT Asset Management or Software Asset Management tooling.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management databases or application inventory platforms.
  • Experience with single sign-on technologies such as Security Assertion Markup Language, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience with identity platforms such as Entra ID or Azure Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with service principals, API permissions, and Graph-style access models.
  • Familiarity with SaaS security configurations and vendor administration consoles.
  • Experience automating workflows using scripting, APIs, Power Platform, or similar tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports using Excel or business intelligence tools and communicating results to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Sarbanes-Oxley, Information Technology General Controls, or access-review processes.
  • IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or procurement-related certifications such as IAITAM or ITIL.
