Requirements
  • A Certified Nursing Assistant license is required.
  • The candidate must be registered and listed in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of employment.
  • The candidate must be able to recognize patients' needs, maintain good relationships, make meaningful observations, and communicate observations to the supervisor.
  • The candidate must possess a valid Tennessee driver's license and wear seat belts at all times while driving.
  • The candidate must possess automobile liability insurance and dependable transportation kept in good working condition.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient-care-related services and tasks as ordered by the physician under the daily supervision and direction of the Branch Director and Case Managers.
  • Take and record assigned vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
  • Bathe clients and assist with showers and partial baths as appropriate.
  • Assist clients with prescribed exercises and assist physical therapy with client rehabilitation when applicable.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and assist with all aspects of activities of daily living.
  • Answer client questions about self-care techniques and provide instructions to the family, client, and support network to assist with care.
  • Assist clients in getting ready for doctor appointments.
  • Lift, turn, and weigh clients as appropriate.

  • One year of full-time experience in direct client care in an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing facility.
