Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy program and eligible for Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the state of practice, or eligible for licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Act as a liaison between allied health professionals and registered nurses to provide accurate and rational drug therapy after receipt of an allied health professional's order.
  • Review orders for dosing accuracy, drug selection, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriateness.
  • Serve as a medical team consultant by participating in multidisciplinary rounds, committees, and workgroups.
  • Provide drug information to allied health professionals, nurses, patients, and the general public.
Desired Qualifications
  • Completion of a pharmacy residency.
  • Board certification.
