Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Must be available to work all shifts (Day: 06:30 – 15:00; Evening: 14:30 – 23:00; Night: 22:30 – 07:00)
  • Weekend availability is required
  • We are seeking individuals with flexible schedules
  • While per diem officers may not be available every time we reach out, we do expect consistent availability and willingness to cover shifts when possible
  • Supervisors will contact you via call or text when shifts open up; a prompt response (yes or no) is appreciated
  • Work hours are not guaranteed and can vary significantly
  • Summer months tend to offer more hours, while winter availability may decrease due to fewer vacation requests
  • This position has no committed schedule/hours and is not benefit eligible
  • This is a bargaining union position
Responsibilities
  • Take patrols and conduct security duties
  • Respond immediately to calls for assistance
  • Document services provided on each shift
  • Act in a courteous and professional manner at all times
  • Be assigned to a specific UVM Medical Center campus
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior security experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting a plus
