Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with at least 5 years of applicable experience, or Masters degree with 3 years of applicable experience for Principal Systems Engineer (T3)
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field with at least 9 years of applicable experience or Masters degree with 7 years of applicable experience for Senior Principal Systems Engineer (T4)
  • Must have US Citizenship with current or active Top Secret/SCI Clearance at time of application
  • Knowledge and experience in satellite engineering disciplines to include attitude control, power management, thermal control, propulsion, command and data handling and flight and ground software
  • Familiarity with the anomaly resolution process
  • Experience with developing and presenting briefing slides to senior leaders and executive level personnel
Responsibilities
  • Standard business hours support to the regular operations tempo (mission daily meetings, pre/post mission briefings, assisting with bus maintenance activities, CCBs)
  • Periodic monitoring of Bus state-of-health / Trending
  • Acting as the NG Bus representative for on-call support of on-orbit issues or anomaly resolution
  • The maintenance and improvement of bus related operational procedures / scripts
  • Assisting with the execution of future mission rehearsals, system software updates
