Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent educational experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience within application, design, sustaining engineering, or technical sales functions is required.
  • Ability to design and configure complex systems with limited guidance.
  • Demonstrated application or commercial experience with medium- and low-voltage starters and drives.
  • Strong technical skills related to electrical engineering and power electronics.
  • Familiarity with power electronics equipment, including switchgear, soft starters, and variable-frequency drives.
  • Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without restriction or the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with external sales teams and customers to provide application-specific designs and solutions.
  • Identify and interpret technical requirements, deliverables, dates, and other programmatic details and constraints.
  • Determine whether an order should be led by a Program Manager, coordinate the handoff when appropriate, and provide support.
  • Review contractual terms and conditions and attend bidders’ conferences where applicable.
  • Prepare the total quotation package and provide front-end support.
  • Maintain the customer relationship management system and quote logs for all proposals and key accounts, and provide key performance indicator information for regular business reviews.
  • Provide insights and guidance to Program Management, commercial teams, and customers regarding product configuration, standardization, and front-end process optimization.
  • Develop proposals for custom solutions for key accounts and brand partners.
  • Initiate kick-off meetings with engineering when proposals become orders.
  • Provide high-level project management of orders through front-end communications.
  • Manage technical communications supporting proposals and the sales team.
  • Rapidly review multiple specifications, prioritize requests for quotation based on customer agreements and priorities, and manage external communications related to pre-sales and technical questions.
  • Travel to support the sales team by providing technical background on company products when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency with two-dimensional and three-dimensional AutoCAD software.
  • Experience with SolidWorks.
  • Experience operating in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of professionals.
  • Good time-management skills and the ability to set priorities.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
