Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse is required.
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state is required.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification is required from the American Heart Association or an American Red Cross equivalent.
  • Ability to perform the stated standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, force-exertion, sensory, and fine- and gross-motor functions required by the position.
  • Ability to deal effectively with stressful situations.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in a latex-safe environment.
  • Ability to be physically qualified for respirator use initially and as required for selected positions.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care to patients and families at the competent level using the principles and practices of the nursing process.
  • Deliver safe and effective care.
  • Interact with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.
  • Care for patients receiving cellular therapies, including bone marrow transplant, CAR-T, TIL therapy, and other advanced hematologic treatments.
  • Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transplantation, and treatment through clinical trials with close monitoring and personalized care.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor of Nursing degree is preferred.
  • Specialty certification in oncology, cellular therapy, medical-surgical nursing, or palliative care is encouraged.
  • Completion of the National Cancer Institute Collaborative Systemic Therapies Course within the first year is required for chemotherapy competency.
