Federal Reserve Bank of St. LouisThe Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is hiring a Group Vice President to lead the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’s Research Information Services team. As the Director of Research Information Services, you will report to the Director of Research.
The staff reporting to you include data engineers who make FRED internationally-renowned, librarians who create the FRASER digital library and the Federal Reserve History website, product owners who manage the technical projects, educators who create curriculum for teachers in our economic education group, and the editorial and publications team. Together, these groups democratize access to economic data, education, and information. You will develop strategies to continue the work of making the St. Louis Fed’s economic information services work highly valued by the public and by Federal Reserve System staff, providing trusted tools and content to motivate and guide economic decision-making. You will work cooperatively with leadership across the Bank and the Federal Reserve System. You also will partner with external institutions, agencies, and other entities to further the reach and influence of our Research Information Services.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategic direction for the Research Information Services team at the St. Louis Fed and, as possible, for the Federal Reserve System, in partnership with other Fed institutions.
- Manage a high-performing team to develop content to ensure it meets the needs of our users. This includes prioritizing the addition of content and identifying partnerships that can extend our content development.
- Identify and select the most effective and appropriate technologies for our content acquisition and delivery. Ensure that the content is delivered accessibly, thoughtfully, and to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to execute the technical projects organized and detailed by Research Information Services, ensuring that the resources are well-managed and prioritized.
- Further the impact and reach of our content by setting priorities for outreach. Ensure this outreach includes effective communication, guidance, and resources so that our audiences can use these materials.
- Partner with internal and external institutions and agencies to increase our reach.
- Develop, deliver, and promote content to meet the needs of underserved communities, with a special focus on material for American Indian/Native American tribes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- 10 years of related work experience and 10 years managing or leading teams
- Experience delivering economic content at scale
- Experience in developing partnerships, with a strong network of collaborators
- Experience in taking entrepreneurial approaches to expand and improve the products
- Experience in and commitment to applying diverse talents, enhancing culture and engagement, and partnering with a wide variety of people and institutions
- Outstanding skills in communicating; ability to present with clarity, confidence, and conviction
