DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse who is looking to give life in a hospital setting. You can make an exceptional difference in the lives of our patients and their families dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. If you haven’t considered Nephrology before, read on as we think that you should. We train over a 3 month period.

Mercy Medical Center Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104
Details:
4 days a week, 10 hr. days depending on patient census
7 am is a typical start time
No Dialysis experience is required (we will train over 3 months) Schedule is varied days - Mon- Saturday (every other Saturday is typical) then the next weekend your off.
Some on call is required

- Potential to float to other hospitals after your trained. You may be seeking more hours or we may have a request for coverage (All for One).
- The on call is overnight for those patients who find themselves in the emergency room. You will know your on call schedule and work with your manager on this.
What you can Expect:
- Be a part of a team that supports and relies on each other in a positive environment. Staff RNs are a central part of a small interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
- Deliver care to patients who are often dealing with multiple co-morbidities which require unique treatment plans and the ability to leverage a broad range of nursing skills and knowledge.
- Oversee your patients to conduct patient observations, measuring stats and machine set up, initiating dialysis, discontinuing dialysis and monitoring well being during the treatment.
- You will work with your head, heart and hands each day in a hospital environment sometimes doing one on one dialysis and sometimes in a multi treatment room.
- Specialty in multiple renal therapies. Acute (inpatient) RNs may deliver nephrology care through Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and Apheresis. We do cross train in many of these areas.
- Work daily in a hospital setting. Deliver dialysis to patients at a contracted healthcare system, and become an integral part of both the hospital and DaVita team.
- Dynamic environment. As an Acute (Inpatient) Dialysis Nurse you’ll provide specialty nephrology care within a variety of settings (ICU, CCU, ED and more).
- DaVita’s Inpatient Dialysis Program is Joint Commission Accredited

Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
- We DO NOT require you to have any specific hospital experience. Just your BSN or ASN and nursing license.
