Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience in product development, technical design, or pattern making
  • Undergraduate Degree OR equivalent industry training, certification, or related business experience
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials, technical construction, and sourcing
  • Proficient in PLM, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Experience in product costing
  • Comprehensive understanding of design intent, product aesthetics, construction, fit, and communication with factories
  • Complete understanding of the product lifecycle process
  • Experience effectively communicating with and traveling to domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers
  • Detail-oriented, accuracy-oriented, with strong organizational skills
  • Initiative, agility, commitment, balancing autonomy and collaboration
  • Proactive in identifying root causes of issues and developing solutions
Responsibilities
  • Creating tech packs to communicate specifications for aesthetic, construction, fit, and measurement
  • Communicating fit, design, and construction comments and corrections clearly to factories
  • Executing the development of product from concept through commercialization
  • Providing thorough product information and construction information for sourcing raw materials
  • Facilitating and leading team meetings, reporting team metrics to the Development Lead
  • Supporting and influencing the development process for commercial viability of designs
  • Supporting, coaching, and training new hires
  • Providing feedback for efficiencies on development timelines
  • Developing and maintaining accurate sample garment measurement specifications
  • Supporting in the training of new factory resources, ensuring brand standards are met
  • Ensuring calendar deliverables are met
  • Collaborating with 3D Digital Team on CLO3D capabilities
  • Establishing a development process balancing autonomy and opportunity
  • Providing engagement training for current and future vendors
  • Strengthening vendor relations through effective communication and travel
  • Strategizing and evaluating process on prototype turnaround timelines
