Requirements
  • Candidates must hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Dental Medicine, or equivalent degree.
  • Candidates must be able to perform the listed physical functions, including frequent seated, standing, walking, hand and arm use, repetitive fine motor movements, and visual and hearing tasks.
  • Candidates must be able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects weighing up to 15 pounds without assistance.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete in-house digital workflow for implant-supported crowns and bridges, including the design of custom abutments and crowns, milling, staining, glazing, and cementation for clinical delivery.
  • Assist Doctor of Dental Medicine students, Advanced Education in General Dentistry residents, and Digital Dentistry residents with case documentation using intraoral photography, facial scanning, and digital design tools.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary implant courses with residents and attend Doctor of Dental Medicine-level implant courses and laboratory sessions to support educational continuity.
  • Facilitate training sessions for faculty, residents, and students on digital treatment planning, computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing integration, and emerging technologies in restorative and implant dentistry.
  • Conduct research projects focusing on computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing workflows, three-dimensional-printed restorations, milled materials, scanner accuracy, and other areas of digital innovation.
  • Design and implement evidence-based educational modules integrating clinical protocols with emerging digital technologies, including computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing, three-dimensional printing, and guided implant surgery.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in restorative dentistry or prosthodontics is highly preferred.
  • Being in a Doctor of Philosophy or postdoctoral program is highly recommended.
