Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Proven track record of building and supporting data warehouses
  • Proficient in Snowflake, Power BI, and Acuity Analytics, or equivalent tools
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with other programming languages, such as Python or R
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles, relevant regulations and best practices
  • Ability to continually learn the latest trends and technologies in the field of data analysis and visualization, including ML/AI
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a longitudinal student data warehouse that aggregates data from multiple systems to monitor the student lifecycle including admissions, assessments and evaluations, graduation, and post-graduation
  • Conduct queries, locate data, and create appropriate reports to use for supporting evidence for institutional and programmatic accreditors
  • Identify patterns, trends, and outliers in student data to develop predictive models to inform long-term decision-making
  • Translate complex problems through narrative and visual displays for faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders
  • Investigate, recommend and implement institutional data solutions such as databases, data lakes, and data lakehouses
  • Create data visuals to report findings, tell compelling data stories, and suggest solutions
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards that can be used for real-time monitoring of progress towards department-defined goals
  • Manage large data sets sourced from multiple departments utilizing a variety of data management methodologies to improve decision making and the streamlining of existing practices
  • Develop a deep understanding of the entire business data reporting process, from source data sets to end-result reporting and analysis tools
  • Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues and maintain the business intelligence infrastructure
