Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Complete a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license for the state of residence and all required state and local licenses.
  • Pass a physical examination required by the Department of Transportation and/or company policy.
  • Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds; bend, kneel, balance, change tires, inspect and push vehicles, and use hand tools.
  • Obtain satisfactory pre- and post-employment screening results, including criminal, drug, and motor vehicle screening.
  • Operate passenger vehicles and light-medium duty trucks with manual and automatic transmissions while primarily working from a service vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively in writing, verbally, by email, and using assigned technology such as global positioning systems.
  • Complete required departmental training courses within 60 days of hire and additional department training as required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide lockout, fuel delivery, battery jump-start, and tire-change services using established guidelines and quality-control procedures.
  • Provide tow and recovery services using established guidelines and quality-control procedures for the Tow Truck Operator position.
  • Sell and install car batteries for the Mobile Battery position.
  • Communicate effectively with members to keep them informed and ensure their safety.
  • Make sound decisions regarding safe vehicle service and member needs.
  • Enter call information accurately into in-truck technology, process payments, handle cash, and complete required reports.
  • Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections and ensure they are safe, compliant, and securely stored.
  • Support AAA as needed by participating in special events promoting the brand.
Desired Qualifications
  • Three years of experience in an automotive or mechanical environment, technical school, or at least three years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
