Requirements
  • Power User-level proficiency with NexGen IT systems and Sustainment Management System data entry standards.
  • Working knowledge of Civil Engineer Operations Flight business practices, work management processes, and Preventative Maintenance program management.
  • Strong data analysis skills, including collecting, analyzing, and reporting on productivity, quality, workload, manpower balance, and Preventative Maintenance completeness metrics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The applicant must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods, typing and reading from a computer screen, bending, reaching, kneeling, walking moderate to long distances, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Power User for NexGen IT systems, oversee NexGen IT requirements across all Operations Flight sections, work directly with AFCEC on related matters, and maintain and review data-entry quality, timeliness, and accuracy according to Air Force policy and NexGen IT guidance.
  • Provide weekly reporting through CC/CD or the KPI Web Reporting Tool on productivity, service quality, workload, manpower balance and skills mix, and Preventative Maintenance data completeness; analyze data and brief project status.
  • Train personnel on SMS, NexGen IT data-entry standards, and transforming-technology tools; facilitate facility-manager training and system access; provide professional customer contact; and maintain correspondence, briefings, and project records.
  • Receive and examine work-task requests for repair, modification, conversion, or new construction, and determine their legality against applicable regulations and policies.
  • Determine the feasibility of requested work; develop detailed instruction sheets and work schedules; and build critical-path network plans for large or multi-craft projects.
  • Select and requisition materials, coordinate with shop foremen and craftsmen, and track each work task through completion.
  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance Program, develop and prioritize the fiscal-year execution plan, and track budgets and funding through COCESS, GPC, and Prime Vendor.
  • Monitor budgets and funding balances to ensure the most cost-effective acquisition methods are used.
  • Follow OPSEC guidelines and applicable directives when accessing FOUO information or restricted areas and materials.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business/Data Management, or a related field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of technical training and directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense or U.S. Air Force environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, staffing, budgets, and operational priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage with senior military leaders, Government personnel, and contractor teams.
