Responsibilities
  • Manage and direct the Supply Chain IT Analyst in day-to-day performance updates, identify and oversee opportunities for optimization to the materials management information system and enterprise resource planning system, and oversee all other Supply Chain systems.
  • Provide expertise and training as needed in all Supply Chain systems and technologies, including Microsoft Office Suite, enterprise resource planning and materials management information system supply chain functions, electronic data interchange systems, vendor management systems, group purchasing organization and vendor-provided databases.
  • Perform project work and complete data analytics tasks in all areas of Supply Chain, and prepare monthly and ad hoc data reports as requested to support the department.
  • Use available databases to identify products and product lines for cost savings, evaluate competitive offerings to determine the overall best value for a product or service, and develop acceptance criteria to facilitate objective decision-making.
  • Make recommendations regarding product substitutions, product conversions, and utilization review based on provided data analytics.
  • Serve as liaison between Purchasing, Contracting, Value Analysis, and Distribution Services; develop key performance indicators for each Supply Chain function and track initiatives as needed.
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with internal departments, staff, and suppliers.
  • Assist with performance improvement initiatives, including documentation and reporting of outcomes.
  • Assist the System Director of Value Analysis and Technology with creation, utilization, and management of the Value Analysis Dashboard.
  • Develop and track supplier performance metrics to ensure consistent quality, delivery timelines, and cost effectiveness, including performance of the prime distributor.
  • Facilitate regular supplier performance reviews and negotiate performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Maintain performance, patient and employee satisfaction, and financial standards outlined in the performance evaluation.
  • Perform compliance requirements outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Adhere to DCH Health System policies and procedures and its mission, vision, and values.
  • Perform essential job functions in a manner that ensures the safety of patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Identify and reduce unsafe practices that may result in harm to patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Recognize and take appropriate action to reduce risks and hazards to promote safety for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Use electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software, and the intranet.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A baccalaureate degree in business, information systems, or a concentration in data analytics is highly preferred.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and experience with enterprise resource planning, materials management information systems, and/or group purchasing organization information systems is preferred.
  • Medical supply knowledge is a plus.
