Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or comparable experience is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of business-to-business sales experience is required, ideally in payment processing, financial services, or consultative sales, with a history of success.
  • At least 2 years of management experience is required, ideally in business-to-business sales.
  • Experience with contract or partnership negotiations is a plus.
  • Candidates must have a record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Candidates must be able to communicate decisions effectively in verbal and written communication.
  • Candidates must have experience achieving metric and quality performance.
  • Candidates must have strong negotiation and business development skills.
  • Candidates must have extensive industry knowledge of pricing, equipment, and/or gateways.
  • Candidates must have planning, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Candidates must be able to develop relationships with merchants and independent sales organization partners.

Responsibilities
  • Direct offshore Sales Development Representatives and stateside Account Managers, assign and review approvals, manage their lead and account pipelines, and ensure all deals are closed in a compliant and efficient manner.
  • Oversee offshore Team Leads and stateside Assistant Managers who report directly into this role, providing direction, coaching, and accountability for team results.
  • Manage lead and account pipelines for outbound-call and marketing campaigns, ensuring consistent coverage, prioritization, and follow-up.
  • Manage and drive conversions on Submissions and Approvals as key team performance metrics.
  • Attend weekly calls with the Marketing, Product, and Sales Operations teams.
  • Track and manage the sales pipeline of all aged and reworked accounts and marketing opportunities owned by Direct Sales.
  • Maintain a full understanding of the Direct Sales marketplace and the full product suite.
  • Convert new business at the percentage established by Direct Sales expectations.
  • Work with Sales Development Representatives, Account Managers, and the Marketing Team to provide product knowledge, marketing and sales support resources, and partnership updates.
  • Act as a liaison between the Sales and Product teams to enable technological advancements that support the team.
  • Strategize and implement methods to grow accounts and resolve recurring issues.
  • Create a motivating environment through coaching, mentoring, and enablement.
  • Provide opportunities for formal and informal developmental activities.
  • Work with senior leaders and department heads to set expectations for team members and hold employees accountable for results.
  • Lead hiring, performance management, compensation, and evaluation of team members.
  • Collaborate with Kapitus leadership and Human Resources to refine and modify career-growth and succession plans.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required by management.

InterVest acquires Kapitus, expanding $10B small business lender's capital base

InterVest Capital Partners has acquired Kapitus, a small business lender that has provided $10 billion in growth capital to over 65,000 businesses since 2006. The acquisition strengthens Kapitus's capital base and expands its access to financing for small businesses nationwide. Kapitus will continue operating independently, offering term loans, revenue-based financing, equipment financing, SBA loans, and revolving lines of credit. The partnership provides Kapitus with additional growth capital and access to InterVest's commercial finance expertise and network of portfolio companies serving small and mid-sized businesses. InterVest Capital Partners is a New York-based alternative investment manager focused on niche credit strategies and specialty finance.
