Requirements
- A current Registered Nurse license in the state of Mississippi is required.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience is required.
- Training or experience treating patients in a clinical setting is required.
- The ability to use computers, schedule appointments, and maintain professional phone etiquette is required.
- The ability to work cooperatively with co-employees, management, patients, visitors, and physicians is required.
- The ability to promote a favorable clinic image with physicians, patients, insurance companies, and the general public is required.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide basic medical care to patients in an orthopedic clinic.
- Maintain professional nursing standards of practice in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
- Dispense medication doses safely and efficiently in accordance with organizational procedures and physician orders.
- Report and document patients' symptoms, responses, and progress thoroughly and accurately.
- Work under the supervision of the provider while maintaining professional nursing standards of care.
- Chart nurse's notes accurately and in a timely manner, and maintain appropriate records related to patients' progress and activities.
- Interview patients and document basic medical histories.
- Organize and schedule appointments.
- Check with patients and type patient charts.
- Produce and distribute correspondence, memoranda, letters, faxes, and forms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedics is preferred.
- One to two years of clinic experience is preferred.
